This is a breed that is all about the "Silky Terrier look" The MSFGA puts no added value on a goat that faints, but does put a premium value on the length of coat, consistency of coat, and the amount of facial, neck and body hair that a goat exhibits. Mini Silkies should appear physically balanced and well proportioned. The coat should be long, straight and flowing. It should have a silky texture with a high luster that catches the light. The length of the coat should be nearly to the ground and the hair should be consistently long over the entire body.
The ideal buck is 23.5 inches or smaller at the withers but it is acceptable to be as tall as 25 inches. The ideal doe is 22.5 inches or smaller at the withers but it is acceptable to be as tall as 23.5. The above information was pulled directly from the MSFGA website. I encourage anyone interested in additional breed information to visit the MSFGA website directly.
